About Us

 

Granada Pomegranates was established in 2014 with approximately 10 000 trees planted and is situated in the Cullinan area 30km north-east of Pretoria. We provide seasonal fruit to retail outlets, the fresh produce market and for export in future. In addition, nursery-bagged pomegranate trees are available to commercial farmers, nurseries and gardening enthusiasts.
 
Granada Pomegranates is a member of the Pomegranate Producers Association of South Africa (POMASA).

Pomegranates are easy growers with low water needs and are easy to maintain. The plants are best suited for areas with cold winters and hot summers. The pomegranate cultivar known as 'Wonderful' is the most popular and preferred variety for domestic and international markets. The fruit has a rounded shape with a tough skin in a deep pink or rich red colour containing many juicy ruby-coloured arils with a flavourful sweet to tart taste. Truely WONDERFUL!
